From being in a specialist operations unit to joining the fire brigade, Riseholme offers the ideal courses to help advance your skills in whichever public service area you'd like a career in.

A public services college course at Riseholme College will prepare you for a career as a police officer, fire-fighter, paramedic, police officer, prison or probation officer, in the ambulance service, as well as in the armed services and other related careers.

To help you choose the path ideal for you, we provide realistic, hands-on experience. This includes guest speakers from the police, armed forces, ambulance service and more and work experience placements.

Uniformed public services courses to suit you

Our Level 2 and 3 Public Services courses to further develop the skills needed for your career within the uniformed public services. These courses involve spending time with the public services in order to learn about entry requirements and recruitment whilst developing an array of practical skills.
