Are you looking to develop a career working in the health sector? This course provides you with an overview of the Health and Social care sector, allowing you to gain knowledge and skills that you will need to pursue a range of careers within the industry.

You will spend 70% of your time in the classroom and the other 30% undertaking practical activities, including lab practicals and using our VR system.

You will need four GCSEs at grade 4 or above. These must include English OR Maths and Science.

You will undertake theory and practical sessions, scenarios and presentations

You will normally be in college three days a week.

You will spend a minimum of 100 hours on placement gaining meaningful industry experience.
You will be assessed through exams, presentations and assignment work.
This qualification will allow you to gain UCAS points to apply to university, as well as giving you the knowledge to enter straight into employment should you wish.
Work in a specialised area of care, such as learning disability or mental health, in social or youth work, in the public or private health and care sectors, in drug and alcohol counselling, in victim support or offending teams, in community care and many more
