Alex is currently studying on the Extended Diploma in Sport at Riseholme College. Despite not having studied PE at GCSE, Alex has had the full support of his tutors and has been able to learn all what's required as he goes along.
"The best part of my course so far has been working with the team around the skills you need in things like physiotherapy. The practical units and working hands-on makes the time speed by really fast and I have made friends straight away too. I knew others who had come to Riseholme and the free transport to get here was a big advantage. Another big plus with this course is that you don't just focus on sports, there are many useful units including psychology which you may not automatically think of. I have also done great work experience and got to shadow real medical practice."
