George Randell

Robert's favourite part of the course has been learning about ecology, wildlife, and conservation projects. A highlight was creating a grant proposal, which gave him valuable experience and skills which he can take into future job roles.

George praises the college’s supportive and personal environment. “The tutors are incredibly helpful. Mental health is a big focus here at Riseholme, it’s not like you are a number, everyone knows you by name, and Student Services and on site counselling makes a big difference.”

He also values the course’s placement opportunities. “They’re so beneficial and I’ve learnt so much about animal care, it looks great on your CV too.”

With a three day week, George has time for studying, part time work, and rest. Overall, he says, “This place builds you up into a strong person.”
