Studying a sports and exercise science degree level qualification at Riseholme College will give you the great grounding you need.

We have exceptional facilities at Riseholme, including our state-of-the-art Sports and Health Science Centre, which is equipped with the latest fitness testing and performance improvement technology, and our range of outdoor pitches.

Specialist lecturers and coaches

Our BTEC Higher National qualification in Community Coaching for England programme is a recognised higher technical qualification (HTQ). A technical qualification, it has been developed with employers to ensure that you can get the right training and skills you need to succeed at work.

You'll be taught by expert lecturers and coaches with valuable industry knowledge and contacts.

Flexible studying options

You’ll choose whether you study full-time or part-time and will cover key disciplines, with a focus on coaching science.

You can also apply your learning as you study by taking part in a wide variety of sports and exercise activities, from football to lacrosse and gym routines to yoga.

Craig Fairbairn

Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science

Sports performance analysis expert Craig, enjoyed an exciting career working with Hull Kingston Rovers, Hull City FC Academy and New Zealand Rugby League before joining the team.

Boasting a PhD in Performance Analysis from the University of Hull, Craig is our resident specialist in sports performance analysis, heading up all performance analysis elements of our Sports and Exercise Science programmes.
